Position Summary...\nAs the Senior Manager, Creative Business Affairs, you will play a vital role in supporting WCS’s business affairs team drive creative and brand success while safeguarding the interests of the enterprise. You will help develop processes, templates, and guidelines to enhance our creative and production operations. You will have experience collaborating with advertising agencies, media companies, publishers, networks, and production houses, along with a solid understanding of content execution strategies. Additionally, you will be adept at navigating the complexities that generative AI tools introduce to the content creation landscape. With an eye for detail and an interest in pop culture, you will embrace the challenges that come with this dynamic role to help establish best practices, locate efficiencies, and optimize our investment in quality content creation.\nWhat you'll do...\n• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Procurement, Marketing Legal, Agency Relations, Media, Creative, and Marketing leads\n• Analyze deal opportunities and formulate business strategies related to talent and production matters\n• Monitor industry regulations and legal requirements relevant to advertising and marketing practices, advising the team on compliance matters\n• Support music and intellectual property licensing workstreams, including ideation and negotiation.\n• Draft and negotiate talent contracts based on Walmart-approved specifications and ensure all contractual obligations are met.\n• Conduct production audits, enforce ongoing governance of production infrastructure, and provide insightful recommendations for production cost management\n• Manage, maintain, and foster relationships with key agencies, representatives, and attorneys in the entertainment community\n• Identify potential risks in marketing and advertising strategies, develop mitigation plans, and ensure adherence to internal policies and guidelines\n• Advise and set operational standards and guidelines for AI tools in creative and production workstreams\n• Manage urgent deadlines and a variety of complex projects while remaining solution-oriented and detail-focused\n• Operate comfortably in a highly creative, flexible, and nimble environment\n• Deliver timely, effective, and strategic business affairs advice that aligns with evolving legal and regulatory expectations\n• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management regarding business affairs activities and compliance issues\n• Collaborate with a team of business affairs professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability\nQualifications\n• 7+ years of experience in business affairs, legal, or compliance roles within the advertising and marketing industry with a proven track record of negotiating contracts and managing complex agreements\n• Strong understanding of advertising laws, regulations, and industry standards.\n• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
